Yesterday afternoon my best friend, Debbie, took me to Trinity Hearing and I sat impatiently as the doctor put my hearing aids in. Debbie watched the amazed look I got when I could hear across the room and I notice everything that was making sounds I have not heard for years. The doctor told me to bring someone to listen cause I will be busy being surprised by all the sounds. I was, and my listening cap was Debbie. Debbie said instanly my voice got quieter and I was amazed at that. I kept speaking loud and not being aware of it must of been annoying.
I have old habits of leaning to close to people to hear them. I walked out to the road and heard cars on the street. The wheels on cars splashing the slush, snow and water on the roads. I was amazed at the busy loud world. I retreived to home life quick after that. The doctor said it will take about 3 weeks before I can be wear them full time. I can see why. I hear everything and I have to get use to hearing..The Television was turned down to low and Ray said turn it up so I can hear it.
